Welcome

The foundation of O&P

Together, as a team, we can influence and shape the Orthotic and Prosthetic field through collective action, the sharing of knowledge, and increased patient care.  We ask that you join forces to help us accomplish the goals we have set out to do by becoming a member of the Illinois Society of Orthotists and Prosthetists.

Welcome to ISOP

You, as a business owner/manager and practitioner, know more than ever of the challenges the OP profession has and continues to face. As you know, ISOP was the vehicle to passage of the OPP License and Parity Acts, both of which help ensure quality patient care and insurance fairness for our patients. ISOP has also fended off legislation that was not in the best interest of patients or the profession. More proactive action needs to be taken in this changing health care environment.

Along with Brian Duffy, our Lobbyist, ISOP is monitoring Illinois regulation of Managed Care Organizations (MCO’s), DME, OT/PT and Athletic Trainers and IDPA/HFS operations. ISOP is represented on AOPA’s State representative committee that shares information from CMS, DOD and VA with States. ISOP’s purpose is stated on the membership form.

The current ISOP goal is to renew our joint voices, share information to support our patients, business and practitioners.

We, the Board members of ISOP, are seeking your corporate and practitioner support. Attached are forms. Please complete the Corporate (OP Labs) or Affiliate (OP Suppliers) form. It’s been a difficult ride for OP business. Please distribute the Practitioner form to your staff – “call it ride sharing” – You are in the best position to encourage practitioner support for ISOP.

Thank You,

ISOP 2021 Board Members:

James Kaiser, CP/L – President;
John Quigley, CO/L – President Elect, Treasurer;
Tracy Melton, CPO/L, C.Ped. – VP;
